Lovin London

I go to London every fall.  It's one of my favorite places in the world.

This is a fashion blog, so I have to talk about Bond Street.  There is nothing more beautiful than Bond Street at the end of November.  All of the streets are lit up with hundreds of lights.  This is not a place for you if you don't like crowds because every inch of every street is packed full of hundreds of people.  In my opinion, this street is where real fashion is born.  From what I can only call a Top Shop mall, to the designer stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, to the small boutiques, art galleries and antique shops, Bond Street is the place to shop in London.  This area of London is so overwhelming that you could spend days there without actually seeing every store.

But for those of us that can't spend a week shopping Bond Street, I bring you my London inspired outfits.

I love these grey skinny jeans.  They are so comfortable, but still look really sexy.  Pair these jeans with a slouchy british flag shirt to give yourself the instant London feel.  I also added a small grey purse that you can wear across the body and a big silver ring for an outfit that you can wear for any occasion.

My favorite café in London is a small place called Patisserie Valerie.  Always the friendliest service and the most delicious cappuccino and absolutely sinful scones.  When I think of London, that is the fondest memory I have: The mornings I spent at Patisserie Valerie.

Every morning there was a group of friends sitting at a nearby table.  On one of the mornings, One of the girls wore grey skinny jeans, an "I love London" t-shirt, and a studded leather jacket.  I thought she was so stylish, that I had to take my inspiration for this blog from her outfit.  When I think of London, I think fashion and I think ANYTHING GOES!  From conservative to punk, you see such a wide range of fashion that it really is inspiring.  No two people will be dressed alike in London.  And that's one of the things I love about the city.  Fashion is unique, from person to person.

London reminds me a little of the crowd at the new Cosmopolitan.  Anything goes, but it's all about mixing modern with glam.  Last time I went to London, the city was sparkling with sequin-covered clothing.  Try a sequined skirt with a plain cotton tank top and a pair of black pumps for a hip new outfit for a little excitement and fun.  This week you're living London, so live a little!

If you ever go to London, take the metro.  That's where you will find hoards and hoards of Londoners on their way to school, work, or just going out with friends.  It's where the real fashion can be seen.  I love to sit on the metro and watch what people are doing and what they are wearing.

That woman in the corner, listening to music on her ipod, can you see her gorgeous shoes?  Or the one standing by the door, loooove her jeans and purse.

The metro is such an important part of London that it's even been put on people's feet!  One brand of shoes creates a map on the sole of the shoe while another actually uses the fabric from the metro seats.

So next time you're in London, pay attention to the people on "the Tube" and enjoy a large variety of fashion and trends.

London is a place of innovation and this week you too can take inspiration from London.

London is Fashion.  Fashion is Love.
We love London.

Until next time,  Ta Ta For Now <3

Destination- Paris, France.

Can you imagine sitting at a parisian cafe with a plate of macaroons and a latte in your hand?   I can and my mouth is salivating already.

I have had some pretty amusing experiences in Paris and Nice.  Like the time I nearly got ran over by a cute French boy on his moped.  I didn't particularly mind at the time because I was a 15 year old girl and he was oh so cute, but his girlfriend did seem to mind as I made googoo eyes at her man.  I've also explored the wonderful city, eaten the best food ever, and tripped on the cobblestone ground by the Champs Elysees.  Despite all the amazing sights, my favorite thing to do in Paris will always be to sit at a French cafe while reading a book and enjoying a cup of coffee and a croissant.

I have met so many interesting French people like my good friends Asher and Charlie.  Asher who by the way likes to talk really really fast.  Asher (who's real name is Andrew but thought Asher was a sexier name) I met in Los Angeles when I was still in High School, but who later moved back to France and who enjoys calling me at ungodly hours of the night!  And Charlie who knows how to make Napoleons and who's obsessed with high-top sneakers!  I actually met Charlie in Greece and she is the sweetest girl I've ever met!  I adore her to death and hope to one day get to travel with her in France because I know it would be a great adventure.

When I went to Paris for the first time, I was too young to really appreciate it.  And now that I'm old enough to appreciate it, I don't have the time to go.  So that's why this week I'm going to live like I'm in Paris.  I will wake up in the morning and go to the french bakery for a baguette.  I will take the time in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and a bite of something delicious.  Most importantly, I will dress the part.

Oh la la, je n'ai rien à porter!  I've got nothing to wear?  Never a problem at PINK.  This week I've gotten inspired by the beautiful women of Paris.  French women have style and no matter where they go, they believe there is always occasion to look your best.

Check out this cute pink lacey dress.  It just screams "I love Paris in the Spring."  Pair this dress with high healed Mary Janes and pearls and you can't go wrong.

Also check out these other accessories that remind me of Paris.  A good friend of the family, Elizabeth Tardie, once told me that every woman needs a pair of red gloves and a clutch to match.  Elizabeth was known to traipse around Nice in her red gloves with her clutch strapped across her body or held under her arm.

And don't forget to throw on a French beret to give you that French je ne sais quoi.  You can have the French Flair with any outfit with this beret.

Here's a quick list of my all time favorite French movies in no particular order.  Some are in French and others are... still amazing!
1. Amelie
2. Ma Vie En Rose
3. Les Diabolique
4. Chocolat
5. Un Coeur en Hiver
6. He loves me, He Loves Me Not
7. Jean De Florette
8. Green Card

I had been planning on stopping the list at 5, but couldn't seem to stop myself from adding the last three because they're awesome.  Enjoy the following trailer for Chocolat

So I leave you with my fond memories of my travels to France and the beautiful French people I have met. Today I am going to enjoy one of my favorite French movies, Chocolat and I'm going to savour maccaroons.
Today you're in Paris.  Bon Courage!
